This is the 80 anniversary of the Second World War, and the world is growing full of military violence. Canada is involved in several of these conflicts, and there are calls to increase further her involvement. It would seem, therefore, a good and proactive action to read accounts of how Canada approached other wars in her past.

Antelope Books and Rare Maps has a wide selection of books about Canadian participation in wars, usually as an ally of Great Britain and the rest of the Commonwealth. A good place to start is with any of the many award winning books by Tim Cook, and Antelope Books has a full collection. We also carry a robust collection of books, especially autobiographies, of specific parts of the Canadian armed forces: the history of the medical corps, the history of nursing, engineers, as well as full official histories of the Navy and the Airforce and our local militia. Get in touch with us if you have any questions, of come on over to enjoy a free coffee or tea as you spend some time browsing.
